What is collected, and why

The site collects personal information in exactly two situations:

When you send the quote form: your name, phone number, postcode and anything you write in the message box.
When you call the number on this site: your phone number, the time of the call, and a recording of the call. A notice plays before you are connected telling you that calls may be recorded. Recording is used for quality purposes and to check that enquiries are being handled properly, which is part of how the installer stays vetted.

The legal basis for handling this information is legitimate interest: you are asking for a quote, and passing your details to the installer is the only way to arrange one.

Who receives your details

Your enquiry details are passed to one vetted independent local installer so that they can contact you and provide a quote. That is the only routine sharing this site does. Your details are not sold, added to marketing lists, or passed to any panel of competing firms. Once the installer has your enquiry, their own privacy policy governs what they hold as they deal with you directly.

Cookies and analytics

None. This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no advertising or tracking scripts of any kind. The only third-party request the site makes is to load its typefaces from Google Fonts. Because nothing non-essential is set on your device, no cookie consent banner is needed.

How long information is kept

Form enquiries and call recordings are kept for no longer than 12 months from the date of the enquiry, and are then deleted. Enquiries that do not lead anywhere are typically deleted sooner. Records may be kept longer only where they are needed to deal with a specific complaint or legal matter, and are deleted when that ends.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, including UK GDPR, you have the right to ask for a copy of the information held about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to object to its use, and to have its use restricted while a question is resolved.
